I'm a 163cm tall male… and I'd never ever break my legs to gain some inches of height. Honestly, if people think less of me because of my height, they're not people I want to associate with beyond the bare necessities anyway.

I’ve never once had to worry about my height since I’m 6foot but it’s interesting to see all the insecurities some have about their height

The before and after pictures are misleading when the after is closer up, making him look much larger overall, and very much taller than reality.

My son is short. People always make negative comments about his short stature. I wish my son was taller. I am tire of people telling me he is short. It affects a person's self-esteem. The surgery is a good alternative to being short. People are insensitive, callous. I wish my son was taller.😅

I am 5’4” and my height doesn’t bother me at all. I do work at my job that a 6’5” person who weighs 200 to 250 pounds cannot do.. and shorter people in the Long run 😂😂has less joint problems and they tend to live longer than taller people. 😂😂😂😂

I've said it so many times under such videos, but I'm 5'6 and have absolutely no problem with my height. I can pick up girls much younger, sometimes much taller. Yes, it's more challenging, but it's also more fun.
Before 30, I hated my shortness, but later I got obsessed with dating, and I realized the problem wasn't real, it was only in my mind. I dated hundreds of women successfully, and all of my insecurity has completely disappeared. Now I'm probably overconfident, walk around, and honestly think that every single woman over 20 wants me. Picking up women is all about being funny, confident and dominant, so too much of those actually increases my chances.

I am short but I never really had a problem with it other than wishing I was a bit taller. However nowadays even less because I realized how much more comfortable it is sitting in airplanes. Not to mention since I started heavy squatting and deadlifts, how much of an advantage it is.

Everyone would like to be a bit taller? As a trans woman I'd quite like to drop a few inches to about 5 foot 6, but accept being about 6' 2" in heels 👠 , but take it from me, mainstream society has a lot to answer for in terms of making people feel bad about themselves for not measuring up to physical norms!

Why noone talking about the female judging of small men as subhumans? Hating someone for his/her heigt is the very same like hating someone for his/her skincolor.

People gotta understand this isnt just to do with beauty standards, when you're a 4'8 adult women its about people understanding and treating you like an adult, rather than babying you or not taking you seriously. Thats why people do this because its how average humans communicate 'i have a form of status equal to you, and therefore expect to be treated as such' from a psychological part of brains responding to these ques, rather than societies social norms of body standards

I have no problem being short. I love the way I look and have no problem dating women. I find the women who want tall guys to be mostly airheads anyway. Also I love that short people live longer than tall people!

I recently turned 17, 8 months ago, my endocronologist told me i wont be taller than 4'11. My actual height is 4'11 and a half and this time i havent grow nothing, my Dad is 5'3 and my mom 4'9, being an extremely short dude got it be one of the worst things in life, the disrepect i get in my daily basis and uncomfortable things i have to deal, i basically wont be treat like a normal man, and people just sees me as a like man and even my small cousins that are 11 and 12 are bigger than me and make fun of me. People that havent go through this dont know this feeling and would call this surgery crazy, at this point i wish atleast 5'3 like my dad…

  46. @oguzmang

    December 18, 2023 at 2:28 pm

this procedure should only be allowed for people with actual leg deformities and such. as a short male myself, I have been getting recommended this surgery on my feed for a while. i believe surgeries like this being advertised like a miracle to people is a malpractice. it should not be advertised as it is a lengthy, painful and risky operation. it's just sad that being short has a lot of disadvantages in the society, and I have faced all of them myself. however, you just learn to live with it. some people are just born like this, focus on your other traits if you are feeling self-conscious about it

I used to be 3’4” and now I’m 10’ even 👍🏻 I’m just unable to ever walk again unfortunately.

Women crushed by society for their looks over and over again. Risk their health and lives getting boob jobs, butt jobs, face surgeries- all so popular and normalised these days. But no oh no, a man is getting surgery for exact same reason and that is a major issue.
Its your body its your choice. But somehow its hard for me to feel sorry for men. I dont think you have any idea how insecure most men make women feel by objectifying and sexualising their bodies.

Five years on from the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan | BBC News

Published

It has been five years since the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan, as western forces left, imposing their extreme, ultra-conservative interpretation of Islam on millions of people.

Their return to power brought relative peace to the country after two decades of war.

But Afghan women have been erased from public life. Girls are banned from school from the age of 12, and aren’t allowed to go to university.

Public parks are also off limits to women – and they can’t travel abroad without a male companion.
