Ukraine war: Western allies say they are running out of ammunition – BBC News
Western military powers are running out of ammunition to give Ukraine to defend itself against Russia’s full-scale invasion, the UK and Nato have warned.
Adm Rob Bauer, Nato’s most senior military official, told the Warsaw Security Forum that “the bottom of the barrel is now visible”.
He said governments and defence manufacturers now had to “ramp up production in a much higher tempo”.
Ukraine fires thousands of shells every day and most now come from Nato.

The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.
“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.
In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.
He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.
Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.
Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.
The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

Explosions have been heard near two Iranian port cities, Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, state media has reported.
It comes after another night of strikes between the US and Iran, with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps saying it hit two UAE tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted US facilities in Jordan and Bahrain.
The UAE called the attack “brazen”, adding that an Indian crew member was killed and eight others were injured.
Meanwhile, the US military says it completed strikes on targets aimed at degrading “Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping” – Iranian state media reports three people were killed.

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.
Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.
President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.

The fun is just beginning with the start of the Middle East War. Zelenskyy and Netanyahu are now having a verbal battle fighting over who gets USA funding, which is getting scarcer and more difficult. It is becoming common knowledge that the USA is running out of weapons to send to Ukraine, and with Israel equally needing weapons, the writing is on the wall for Zelenskyy. Israel is more important now for the USA and with so many Israeli senators in the USA establishment, it is just no brainer to try to guess who will be getting the bulk of the USA support going forward.
Zelenskyy is going under the bus, for his failure in his counteroffensive, and that is a given.

"Practically nothing can be said, nothing can happen, no action can be taken within the borders of Ukraine without the Russians knowing, without the Russians detecting. Watching both western and Russian Media reports from the frontline in Ukraine I notice western reporters wearing "PRESS" sign on their chests and backs whereas Russian reporters wear no signs and I see it as a very important feature. A "PRESS" sign is not supposed to be targeted and destroy among civilized countries and Russia follows that rule, but for Ukraine's troops "PRESS" sign is a preferable target. Moreover when interviews are taken from Russian soldiers they mostly use veils covering their faces lest Ukraine’s intelligence would go after their relatives abusing them up to destroying those people. Ukraine’s soldiers have never covered their faces, as Russia dose not pose any threat to their relatives. I don't believe to what both sides proclaim, but I watch for small details that tell much more than any propaganda. As I possess both Russian and Ukraine language skills I can watch their medias and I participate in appropriate social networks. My impression of Ukrainians is very negative. They are very little educated and demonstrate much arrogance and aggression. My conclusion is that Ukraine's military is not a civilized army, but rather hordes of barbarians that despise any rules of war very much like ISIS. How can civilized countries support Ukraine? Civilized cannot, only evil and barbaric ones.

The US is flailing around in congress. NATO is running out of ammo. The EU is not united. Putin knows this and has played it out with resolve. Too little, too slow, too late. My sympathies go to all the Ukraine people who have been let down by the west whilst fighting for freedom and democracy. Russia is winning the war.
