    My first focaccia was better. You don't know how to bake focaccia. There are many films on YT place by italian chefs. I suggest to watch some of them.

    Gordon, you could have done this better. It was a rushed focaccia, too salty, and not cooked very well.

    Total fail!!!🤣🤣 Salt with dry yeast toghether??? Never! And you say if you put to many things on the focaccia it.s not fluffy..but you put 1000 tomatoes and olives on top…so in the end you can see it.s not…. fluffy!!!! And the tomatoes and olives are burned… Shame on you…..

    While being on of the most fun chefs to watch, GR’s baking techniques seem really nascent compared to just about any other YouTube bread-smith. He’s leaving out vital information like oven temp and hydration, autolyse and yeast management (salt on top of yeast = dead yeast), proofing is there but no fermentation? Why no sourdough starter or at least a preferment? Gonna make that loaf with young pasty yeast alone? Eeeehh. This is a focaccia but the oven spring on that bread is abysmal, really it looks like a damn biscuit no wonder he doesn’t taste a chunk on screen.

    The video is really short and sexy with ingredients flying all around, but there’s no way that the bread he put in the oven at the temps bread need to go in at wasn’t a chard mess with the rosemary on first.

    Go watch a real baker if you wanna make bread it’s a whole discipline unto it self. Don’t watch this potato cook unless you’re only here for the food porn.

    I gotta say, that's a lame focaccia. Tight grain, dry, pale, not enough oil, not enough salt, and what's with the semolina? How does that not make it heavy and mealy?

    220C for 25 mins approx will be better. 200C is too low for this, esp with wet toppings like olives n tomatoes etc. Also needs another proof or 2?
