UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to unveil plans that will see some asylum seekers flown to Rwanda in order to have their asylum applications processed.
The trial scheme would mean single men arriving in Britain via Channel crossings could be forcibly removed.
Refugee organisations have criticised the plans as cruel and urged a rethink.
The deal is expected to see the Rwanda, which is part of the Commonwealth, given an initial ÂŁ120m as part of a trial, but opponents say the annual cost of the full scheme would be far higher.

Over the last week, the Houthis – an Iran-backed militant group in Yemen – have captured two strategic islands along the Red Sea coast, consolidating its control of a key international shipping route known as the Bab al-Mandab strait.
Saudi Arabia has relied on access to the strait for exporting its oil to customers in Asia. With the Strait of Hormuz already closed due to the Iran war, the Houthisâ control of this vital waterway threatens to deepen the global oil supply crisis.
Tristan Redman is joined by the BBCâs Security Correspondent Frank Gardner to unpack who the Houthis are, what they want, and how they have come to hold so much influence on the worldâs economy.

He has been shown to be a peddler of edited films and he has to be a racist, he is using library pictures and bending them to his flawd science, there is ,o,o4 percent of carbon in the atmosphere, and he is wildly inaccurate about his figures there was a net gain in the area of ice at the south poll in 2021 to 22 , in Oct 2021 the temperature dropped to – 80 there is reasoned argument to contradict everything he said he is yet again basing his doom laden PowerPoint production on computer modelling he molds things to suit his cause see the Attenborough Netflix scandal,, and I personally herd him say on the Steve Wright show live , that he didn't like live aid because it saved to many Africans , he has no qualifications to speak on the subject,,he is a TV presenter nothing else ,

Rewatching this after the uks announcement this week to abandon our obligations and strategies to net zero by 2050 by rolling back schemes and policies within the automotive industry. It is truly an embarrassment of the current government to act against all scientific authority on the matter of climate change and I am concerned that the hopeful words of one of the most impassioned people on the subject will be unheard and in vainâŚ

Attenborough has really let himself down now. He should stick to being a wildlife presenter and give up crystal ball gazing on a subject he knows absolutely nothing about. He is not qualified to speak about atmospheric dynamics in any shape or form and having him persuade the unelected individuals at the UN to dictate to independent democratic nations is tantamount to encouraging a global dictatorship. I want to see Attenborough give up all his luxury and privileges first before I will listen to him or any other well-off hypocrite like him. He has lost the plot.

So much denial though and idiocy and it makes me wonder what dark intention's maybe behind it. Or, is it just poor education and a toxic culture, or, just negativity!? Those aware of the aspects of human triggered climate change are mocked as brain washed 'Sheeple'. You're also met with comments of denial, which take a small snippet of information then twist it in favour of their argument. For example 'The climates always changing – grow up!' Probably the same types who think the earth's flat. The concerning thing though is this seems to be a growing trend. It seems to be becoming trendy to be ignorant.
But yes I do agree we need cleaner energy, tree planting, carbon capture, offshore wind farms, tidal farms, closed loop geothermal, (nuclear fusion if we can get it to work
…) and also ways of cooling and reflecting some of the sunlight light back.
It's only common sense for a cleaner and more efficient future anyway. For example, look at how the great smog of London was phased out and how scrubbers and catalytic converters reduced acid rain causing chemicals. We need to continue along that path of cleaning up….and cutting down and reabsorbing added Co2, that was stored in the ground for hundreds of millions of years.
Just like if a person has a health ailment, it's about management and any possible reversal and repair. It should be more about management than politics. Just as cities and brown field sites have been regenerated, I think natural habitats can be regenerated.
