Royal LePage releases report that sheds light on millennials’ homeowning trends

Published

on

Toronto real estate company, Royal LePage has released a report today that has shed some light on millennials’ homeowning trends.

The data released by Royal LePage says 60 per cent of millennials who don’t currently own a home believe they will someday.

President and CEO of Royal LePage, Phil Soper says, “a large number of millennials tell us that they will actually move to and believe they have to move to own a home.” Soper believes the pandemic brought about this change while a large majority of people were working remotely.

The data shared by the real estate company shows that 72 per cent of Canadian millennials, which includes those between the ages of 26 and 41, would choose to live in their current city or town if the cost of living was not an issue. 46 per cent don’t feel as though their salaries will increase enough to buy a place where they currently reside.

CHCH News spoke with millennials in our area today and they say their biggest concern is affordability. They feel as though they just aren’t making enough.

Lou Piriano from the Realtors Association of Hamilton-Burlington says the issue needs to be solved by the government. “We’re having a municipal election in Hamilton. Look closely at what the candidates are saying about how they’re going to improve the speed of improving building permits and opening up land that is necessary.”

Another interesting data point shared today says 68 per cent of millennials across the country feel as though owning a home remains important.

OXOTIQ Ombosi Chronicle | An Afrofuturist Fashion Film by OZ PAAVALI

Deep within Africa Prime, Ombosi does not announce itself. It simply exists in the way that only ancient and inevitable things do. Bone structure carved by a civilization that rewrote what advanced looks like, draped in the saturated earth tones of OXOTIQ against a kingdom that time built on its own terms. Afrofuturism has always had an address. It is Ombosi.

Elon Musk’s NEW Banking Plan Should Be Front Page News

Published

on

Your bank is paying you 0.38%. And while everyone watched the SpaceX IPO, Elon Musk quietly switched on a bank — X Money — paying up to 6% APY (roughly 15x the national savings average), sitting inside an app 600 million people already have open on their phone.

Here’s exactly what he built, why Washington is already nervous about it, and the one question you need to answer before you go anywhere near it.

This is a financial survival breakdown for the responsible American homeowner — the saver who played by the rules and still feels squeezed. We connect the macro move to the one thing that matters: the number on YOUR statement.

In this video:

What X Money actually is — 6% APY, FDIC insurance up to $250,000, the metal Visa debit card, 3% cash back – High Yield Savings

The honest math nobody else will give you: 6% vs. your big bank vs. a real high-yield savings account

Why your local bank can’t fight back — and what “sticky” deposits really mean for your money

The fine print most people won’t read (the variable rate and the asterisk on that FDIC coverage)

Senator Elizabeth Warren’s letter, Cross River Bank’s regulatory record, and the GENIUS Act carveout

Three moves to make your own money work harder — without handing it to a billionaire’s app

👉 Not sure where to start? The high-yield savings accounts I personally use are here: https://StackMyBanks.com — the full top-10 list is linked here: https://epic1.short.gy/HYSA-Top10

Your new biggest fan,
Matt

P.S. Hey, if any of this stuff resonated with you, I’ve got a couple things that might help:

The newsletter — it’s called Shadow Capital Brief. Basically I take all the confusing money news and break it down so you actually know what to do next. 👉 https://ShadowCapitalBrief.com

And look, if you’ve spent decades building something — a business, some properties, a nest egg — and the thought of a lawsuit or the tax code chipping away at it keeps you up at night… I put together a plan for locking it all down. Entity structuring, tax strategy, estate stuff. One attorney, one plan. 👉 https://ProtectWhatsMine.com

Oh, and one more — insurance is a necessary evil, but the rates move constantly, so you should be shopping it at least twice a year. Most people set it and forget it for a decade and overpay the whole time. Here’s a quick survey to see if you’re getting hosed on your homeowner’s coverage 👉 https://epic1.short.gy/Insurance

Legal Stuff, Disclaimers, and a Dose of Common Sense

Since you made it all the way down here, here’s the real deal:

Everything on this channel—videos, posts, wild ideas, occasional rants—is mine. Epic Real Estate is a real company, but what you see and hear here is me sharing my personal thoughts, observations, and questionable opinions for your information and entertainment only. Not financial advice, not legal advice, not “go do this and sue me if it goes sideways” advice. Just a guy sharing what’s worked, what hasn’t, and what I think might work if you’re bold (and a little crazy).

I do my research, double-check facts, and try to keep it all up-to-date. But sometimes, I just share what I’ve seen, lived through, or picked up along the way—which might not always be verifiable or true for everyone. Stuff changes. Your mileage will definitely vary. If you’re about to make a big financial move because you watched a YouTube video (mine or anyone’s), please—get some professional advice first. You’re a grown-up. Own your decisions.

Heads up: Sometimes I recommend products or services. I might get paid. I might not. I only talk about stuff I think is useful, but don’t take my word as gospel—do your own homework.

Oh, and as for the cool stock images, music, or footage in these videos: all properly licensed and not for you to reuse, screenshot, or swipe. Don’t be that person.

Bottom line: You’re responsible for what you do with your own money, time, and energy. I’m not liable for anything that happens to you as a result of watching, reading, or listening to my stuff. Don’t blame me for your losses, and definitely don’t credit me for your wins—I’ll just say “told ya so.”

That’s it. Now go do something cool.
