On a visit to Kyiv to meet with President Zelensky, the PM promised to keep up the pressure on Russia despite Moscow’s “outrageous threats”. Diplomatic correspondent James Landale is in the studio to discuss with Adam.

Plus, President Trump and Canada’s Mark Carney are in the midst of a trade war after negotiations between the two countries collapsed on Friday. Trump announced a 50% tariff on Canada goods, with Carney promising the same ‘dollar-for-dollar’.

There are more than two million robots working in China’s factories – which is more than anywhere else in the world – and they are continuing to scale up at extraordinary speed.

It is a commitment that will surely change the world, much like the last time the Chinese economy underwent a massive transformation.

It is already shipping its robots across the globe: more than half of the world’s industrial robots are now made in China.

What is less clear is the impact of such sweeping automation in a country that sits at the heart of global manufacturing, trade and innovation.

US President Donald Trump said there are no talks taking place or planned between the US and Iran, after the Memorandum of Understanding came to an end.

Trump also posted a map labelling the Strait of Hormuz as a “new US territory”, which Iranian officials have called a “delusion”.

One person has been killed in a strike on a vessel in the Strait, which as at the centre of efforts to end the war.

Lindsay Clancy is accused of killing her three children in January 2023.

Lawyers for Clancy, who does not dispute carrying out the killings but has pleaded not guilty to murder charges, say she was experiencing postpartum psychosis at the time.

Prosecutors say the killings were intentional.

Now, in one of America’s most closely watched trials, a jury must decide whether she was responsible.

At least 15 people have been killed in two Russian drone strikes on a shopping centre in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, according to local officials have said.

Another 130 people – including 23 children – were injured in the city’s biggest mall.

The shopping mall is in President Volodymyr Zelensky’s home town. He called it “absolutely cynical and despicable”. Ukrainian authorities said a second drone struck the building, targeting emergency workers at the scene.

Dramatic footage verified by the BBC appears to show the second drone hitting the burning shopping centre in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Ukraine has in recent months carried out attacks on warehouses of Russia’s largest online retailer Wildberries.

Its latest strikes targeted an oil refinery and a military airfield deep inside Russia. Ukraine has been systematically targeting Russia’s energy supplies, leading to severe petrol shortages. Russia’s President Putin has admitted the attacks are damaging the country’s economy.
