Çiçek Hatun: Bizans Tahtına Çıkan Türk Prenses
Bizans İmparatorluğu’nun katı kuralları bir Türk prensesi için bozuldu. Doğu Roma tarihinde nadir görülen bir an yaşandı ve Hazar Kağanı Bihar’ın kızı Çiçek Hatun, Konstantinopolis sarayına sadece bir gelin olarak değil iki dünya arasında kurulan bir bağ olarak girdi.
Bu videoda; Emevi baskısı altındaki Bizans’ın Hazarlarla neden ittifak kurduğunu, Çiçek Hatun’un sarayda nasıl bir etki yarattığını, kendi adına ithaf edilen “Tzitzakion” modasının ardındaki hikâyeyi,
ve oğlu IV. Leon’un neden “Hazarlı” diye anıldığını anlatıyorum.

. Çiçek Hatun, Bizans kaynaklarında Tzitzak olarak geçer ve Hazar Kağanı’nın kızı olarak anılır. Kağanın adı kaynaklarda açık şekilde verilmez fakat bazı çalışmalarda “Bihar” ismine yer verilse de bu adlandırma kesin kabul görmemektedir.
