Anna Sui’s summer collection was unapologetically rich, drawing inspiration that merged an “American prairie girl” with Goa. The looks consistently featured a profusion of embroidery, ruffles, beading, and a rampage of colorful patterns.
Western inspired pieces included dark denim capri jeans and jackets that were bejeweled and studded. Seventies inspired Empire dresses were constructed from rambunctious paisley prints. Floral print ruched blouses were abundant throughout the collection. The design approach favored all out luxe, with restraint not being a factor.
