Russia latest: Wagner leader Prigozhin speaks for first time following mutiny – BBC News
Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin has just posted an 11-minute audio message, speaking for the first time since the weekend’s aborted Wagner Group rebellion.
In the message, he says his men headed to Moscow to “hold to account” leaders he blamed for “mistakes” in the Ukraine war.
He denied his “march for justice” was aimed at toppling Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.
“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.
In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.
He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.
Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.
Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.
The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

Explosions have been heard near two Iranian port cities, Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, state media has reported.
It comes after another night of strikes between the US and Iran, with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps saying it hit two UAE tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted US facilities in Jordan and Bahrain.
The UAE called the attack “brazen”, adding that an Indian crew member was killed and eight others were injured.
Meanwhile, the US military says it completed strikes on targets aimed at degrading “Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping” – Iranian state media reports three people were killed.

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.
Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.
President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.

This man was killed, probably by the Kremlin two months after this event, along with 9 members of their Group when the small plane that they were travelling in exploded and crashed. The reporter says at the end something about "having to face russian justice….."
I guess he did, but before that,
Yevgeny Prigozhin marched for Justice.
He marched for the security of the troops and to show that the War against Ukraine is being waged to cause death and suffering, and not to accomplish any kind of actual objectives.
I mean Putin sits at Valdai a month ago and was speaking about how, 2023, 2024, there will be a 1% deficit from the war….. so he is planning for it to be a long lasting continuous thing, and NOT something that is decisive in any way.
And how could it be decisive, when nobody supports it.
Also Russian tanks have been shown to be death traps to the people driving in them. Russia needs to stop using them. They are extremely vulnerable, and kind of an obsolete tactic really.
So there is no reAL objective to the war, besides basically having a war cuz Putin got his panties in a bunch. And all of the U.S./NATO aggression on the other side. A WAr for the purpose of having a war, perhaps for the principle of fighting someone Putin's mad at.
Look NATO and the U.S. are bullshit and full of lies.
But how is that a reason to kill Russians and Ukranians? That's the exact bullshit NATO and the white house planned on- weakening Russia and villianizing a country that has resisted their bullying for years now.
it's all sad, but also inspiring. Stop the war with Ukraine. Focus on the Class War being fought by billionaires against all humans on this planet. We all have to fight for freedom wherever we are.

Wagner's group was only doing what Putin asked them to do. Do not fall for the lies that Putin is trying to get everyone to believe. Prigozghin will not be arrested. Putin wanted to out all of the people that do not support him. What Putin has learned is that he is now more vulnerable than ever. I am not into predicting or being physic. now that i've heard more about him, he sounds like a bully. he thinks that if he can march against his own country 700km where resistance is almost non existing and they didn't have to fire upon anyone, then that means they can get the job done?
