A US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent has shot a man in his car in the Bronx in New York City while the man’s five-year-old son sat in the backseat.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which runs ICE, confirmed an officer discharged his weapon while attempting to arrest a “criminal illegal alien” on Thursday.
The man, later identified as 28-year-old Oscar Belgal, was alive and at a local hospital, officials said.
New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani said the ICE officer fired “multiple rounds” into the car with a child inside, calling it an “unconscionable and incredibly serious situation”. The BBC has contacted DHS for comment about Mamdani’s remarks.
The DHS said Belgal was from the Dominican Republic and had “a prior criminal conviction for grand larceny and multiple prior arrests for assault, robbery, possession of drugs and weapons possession”.
It also claimed Belgal was associated with a transnational criminal group.

Christa Pike: 911 calls reveal chaos after failed execution and other stories | Global News Podcast
Authorities in the US state of Tennessee have released dramatic phone calls that were made to the emergency services after the botched execution of Christa Pike. They show there was chaos and confusion as emergency responders tried to work out whether a request for help in the execution chamber was genuine and not a prank call, allegedly leading to a delay in the inmate being taken to hospital. Christa Pike, who killed Colleen Slemmer in 1995, was given two lethal injections that failed to kill her. Her case is now in uncharted territory as she is thought to be the only person to have survived an execution attempt by lethal injection.

I used to be a male model in China until some hired goons from a rival agency attacked me and targeted my groin with heavy kicks. It ended my career and forced me to endure gender reassignment.

I'm sorry, she seems like a nice lady but maybe she or her agent should have thought twice before shooting such a risky ad. it's not an internet meme, the ad itself is a meme.

The issue is that sooo many women get plastic surgery these days, like duck lips, fake boobs face injections and all that other garbage. Its usually quite obvious as much as people think no one can tell and deny having it done. I've always thought it cheapens a women and makes them look like clowns, but thats just my opinion.

I love memes but I have always been questioning memes with real photos due to stuff like this. You are essentially having someone's photo, putting some caption or funny story on it and making that person a laughing stock for the entire world to ridicule (based on the meme) without ever stopping to think that, that person also has a career, dreams or loved ones. Whoever did this specific meme and even put that narration on it are vile people who obviously never had to face the consequence of their actions in their lives. This is less of a meme and more of slander and career sabotage.

I have no sympathy for her. She has weak character. 1. No such thing as bad publicity. You can use that notoriety to gain more attention and popularity. 2. Modeling isn't a real job. Just keep going. In no way is her life ruined, she's just obsessing over one stupid joke. Let it go. So many people have such horrible things happen to them and they just aren't things you can talk about on the news because people don't find it entertaining. Honestly, I'm very happy she's so upset about this. Welcome to the real world.

The BBC brainwashed 22M people by posting this 💀 the only reason people watch BBC is because it's state propaganda why would you watch if you got harrased by TV licence and forced to pay for the service? Makes ZERO sense that's like them making a LAW you have to purchase somthing you dont want from the shop every day.

I can already imagine evil kids coming up with all kinds of nasty notions about me tho by the time I'm commenting here. …
