No plans for Ukraine civilian evacuations on Monday over fear of Russian “provocations” – BBC News
Ukraine has said it won’t open humanitarian corridors from its cities on Monday due to warnings of Russian “provocations” on routes.
Corridors had been set up to allow civilians to leave some towns that are surrounded by Russian forces.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Mariupol has said the besieged port city is on the verge of catastrophe and must be completely evacuated.

US and Iran exchange strikes and accuse each other of violating ceasefire | BBC News
The US has conducted new strikes on Iran, following a drone attack on a Panama-flagged vessel in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday.
US Central Command (Centcom) said it hit multiple targets across Iran in direct response to “continued aggression” against commercial shipping.
In retaliation, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it has launched missiles and drones at US infrastructure in Kuwait and Bahrain, in a statement shared to state media.
Following the exchange of fire, the US and Iran accused each other of violating the ceasefire agreement.

In his first interview since stepping down as UK Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer has said that his resignation “became an intensely personal decision” which was taken “ultimately” when he went to Chequers with his wife and children.
