“I am profoundly disturbed to find these days my identity is being stolen by others and greatly object to them using is to say whatever they wish.”

That’s how broadcaster and biologist Sir David Attenborough has reacted after the BBC played him clips of his voice being mimicked by Artificial Intelligence.

Dr Jennifer Williams, a researcher of AI audio, explains the issues of voices of prominent figures such as Sir David being cloned.

King and Queen cheered by crowds at Trooping the Colour | BBC News

#TroopingTheColour #RoyalFamily #UKCrowds gathered in central London on Saturday for the Trooping the Colour ceremony to mark the King’s official birthday.

The parade is one of the biggest royal and military spectacles of the year, culminating with a Red Arrows flypast watched by the royals from the Buckingham Palace balcony.

It features more than 1,400 members of the armed forces as well as 200 horses and 400 musicians.

Alongside the King and Queen were the Prince and Princess of Wales with their children.

US President Donald Trump said he has cancelled strikes on Iran tonight and suggested that a deal to end the war was close at hand.

“Discussions and final points have been, in both concept and great detail, approved by all parties involved”, including the “US, Israel, Saudi Arabia”, Trump said on Truth Social.

In an earlier post, he vowed to hit Iran “very hard” on Thursday night.

Iran has not responded to Trump’s latest message – but earlier warned the US of an “endless quagmire that you will be stuck in for years”.

Today, the Defence Secretary John Healey has resigned.

In his resignation letter to the UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Healey set out his reasons for leaving, telling the PM the defence investment plan “falls well short of what is required for defence and the country at this dangerous time”.

The sixth minister to resign for Starmer’s cabinet in a month, and one of its most loyal, the question will now turn to what lies ahead for the PM.
