Vintage in Pills DONNA KARAN Spring 2009 New York – Fashion Channel

Donna Karan presented a Spring collection titled “Liquid Assets” in New York, focused on fluid, body-conscious silhouettes and relaxed evening dressing.

The collection was built primarily around dresses draped from structured shoulders, featuring wrap constructions, thigh-high slits, and asymmetrical layering. Fabrics such as matte charmeuse and satin jersey emphasized softness and movement, reinforcing the collection’s fluid character.

The palette combined warm earth tones with accents of citrus and aquamarine, while styling highlighted exposed décolleté and softly contoured lines. Strong-shouldered jackets appeared as the main structured element, often paired with low-draped jersey tops and embellished mini skirts.
