So yet another candidate has been knocked out, Rory Stewart. In this video, we explain what Stewart’s departure means for the race and what else we learn from the third round of voting – such the inevitability that it’s going to be either Gove or Hunt up against Johnson in the final stage. We also discuss the suspicions surrounding tactical voting in the Johnson Camp.

So the UK elects the parliament in a first-past-the-post voting, where millions of votes get neglected. Then the members and MPs of a single party decides who'll become Prime Minister in a ridiculously procedure involving tactical voting. And after all of that some Brits call the EU parliemant and the head of the comission "unelected"? Seriously? 😀 The only partially fair election in the UK in the recent past was the EU election. Oh the irony…

No one is fit for that office, none in the conservafuck party. They'd see the country burn just to get what they want. Where is the people's opinion on this, those who were promised a structured brexit and only got a mess, a mess that will cost everyone involved dearly… well except the rich fucks who orchestrate it.

  20. @damger4850

    December 26, 2023 at 7:36 am

The British general electorate don’t vote for a pm anyway so it’s no problem

  21. @billydeeuk

    December 26, 2023 at 7:36 am

Sorry, TL;DR but the electorate NEVER gets to vote for who is the next Prime Minister. We vote for our local MP. The PM is simply an MP who can command a majority in the House, when tends to be the leader of the largest political party. We do not nominate the PM in a way we would vote for, say, a President

  22. @KrisRogos

    December 26, 2023 at 7:36 am

While Stewart was the preferred candidate for centre and left leaning voters, there was no way conservatives would back him. From their point of view they are loosing 20-30% of the voters to Brexit Party, and it's easier to get those back by implementing a hard Brexit, than to fight over the middle ground occupied by Labour (though this may change if Corbyn goes to fully back EU ref2 as some speculate might happen soon).

  23. @arocien

  26. @BobWilliscorgi

  28. @johnsmythe7940

So even an election by Conservative Mp's is also weaving and dealing for the Man or Woman to be Prime Minister So they will probably get a job (reward) under the person who helps them to gain the Prime Ministers Job. Once again this is not Democratic, what is it? possibly electoral interference. This MUST be stopped!!

  29. @rara-yp5pq

I hope you join us when England becomes a Trump colony. Meanwhile Englands approval rating in Europe has dropped from 80% (Level of France) to 40% (slightly above Russia) in only 2 years. Its sickening…
