Notting Hill Carnival: Police ARREST 169 people after knife assaults and sex offences on FIRST DAY

The Metropolitan Police has arrested at least 169 on the first day of Notting Hill Carnival.
As of 7.45pm on Sunday, the arrests had been made for offences including possession of drugs, possession of weapons, assaults and sexual offences, Scotland Yard said.
Officers responded to two knife assaults, a slashing to the leg and one to the hand.
Neither of the incidents resulted in life-changing or threatening injuries.

People have forgotten that unions primarily Dock workers went on strike pre and at the start of WW2, to get a written agreement that if they picked up arms and fought Germany yey again they would not be shafted as they were after WW1, with the land fit for Heroes empty promise. That's for my money when Business and Government/Establishment get into bed together. However back to the start, the Dock workers in the UK went on strike refusing to unload War Goods from the USA and US workers went on strike refusing to load them, the Docks were cluttered. Churchill struck a Bargain with the UK strikers, agreeing to equal access to education, Healthcare and decent housing for all, upon their return, and the basis of the modern world. In the US, Roosevelt came to an agreement on most matters but if I remember correctly Healthcare for all was a sticking point, he had even agreed to enshrine these promises with an amendment to the constitution, with the pursuit of life, liberty and Happiness, followed by a decent standard of living for all. This wasn't satisfactory to the Dock workers and others who were out in sympathy, so it was at this point that Roosevelt approached Lucky Luciano, for help "enticing the strikers Back to work" and promised Luciano control of the Docks for the rest of the War, of course, they never left and Both sides realized the benefits of the partnership. That is where this unholy alliance was consummated Roosevelt was going to modify the constitution at the end of the war but died before completing it.

Yeah, its all coming to an end. Just remember what happened to all the other great civilizations that went crazy. I dont believe in a fake god that doesnt care about the earthlings. But i do believe in the universes truth and chaos, balance will come to thus solar system. It does every 12,000 yrs. Why? Because of this types of bullshit. So when does it end, when the wirld can no longer sustain life, just like Mars. Yes i belueve nars was the earthlings first planet of life in this solar system and they destroyed it and they are doing the same here.

It all started with Maggie selling off the family silver to her mates. She came to power by making promises guaranteed to appeal to just the right percentage of people to win an election. That percentage is only around 33% !

Absolutely right Neil. In Brazil organized crime is now running the country, having won fraudulent elections presided over by their representatives in the electoral commission and the Supreme Court. And they are committed to wiping out any trace of democracy in the country, ironically under the banner of "Democracy". The warnings were already there, as a Globo (the country's dominant media organization) printed a photo showing their political heroes brandishing a banner proclaiming (in Portuguese, obviously) "Long Live The Dictatorship of the Proletariat", with the caption: defenders of democracy against the authoritarian fascists! They were actually physically attacking a peaceful crowd of families (grandparents, parents and children) showing their public support for Bolsonaro. Since when has 'dictatorship' been a synonym for 'democracy'? And just how long has the profession dedicated to revealing the truth been spreading a narrative that ignores the facts and promotes their own self-interest? Like you I feel this change dates back to the 1990s, but gathered pace under the GDubya regime in the USA (which invaded countries without an international mandate and precipitated the collapse of the global financial system (and almost the entire global economy) in order to further its own hegemony.
