Scottish Independence? What does the SNP Win Mean for Scotland’s Exit? – TLDR News

Last week Scotts went to the polls to elect new MSPs and with the SNP very nearly scooping a majority we wanted to take a look at the implications of this win. We discuss the alliances which are already forming and if the SNP’s win could lead to a second Scottish independence referendum and eventually the break up of the union. We also discuss some of the results out of Wales, where Labour did markedly better than in the rest of the UK.

Scotland should be allowed to have another referendum, as all people should

Self determination is a fundamental right and it needs to be easier to excersise

Im neutral on if I think Scotland should vote yes or no on said referendum because im not a Scot and dont know it too well, but they deserve to make their voice clear, whatever they may say with it.

Why is it people from southern England can't say "sixth" properly? They say "sikth" instead of sixth, like it has a k, not an x. It's weird.

This is a turning point for Britain it won't be called the United Kingdom anymore as Scotland will soon be Independent, N Ireland will soon join Ireland so Wales and England will have to be called rUK (rest of the UK) or little Britain.

At that last Scottish elections the seperatists..Alba, SNP and their pimps the Greens together, got the most 'seats', no denying that, but if you dig out your calculators and study the BBC breakdown of that election by actual VOTES. the Unionists ie Tories, Labour, LibDems and Independent candidates with no commitment to seperation together actually got 46,000 more votes than the seperatists. If that had been a referendum, by votes she would have LOST.!
Also she keeps bragging about majority of Scots voted remain in the EU ref which was also true but slyly conceals the fact that a vast amount of those remainers were Unionists, again those Tory, Labour, LibDem votes and I doubt if they'd betray their party loyalty just to rejoin a failing EU.
Shes a sinking ship kept afloat only by the gullibles she so easily conned..

  23. @Urmom-ik5nm

    December 25, 2023 at 9:08 am

Even if only 43 percent of greens supports it it still gives pro independence a majority

Funny how conservative is always think that a win for them is a mandate for their manifesto but if the opposition wins they somehow become supportive of equality of representation.

A hard border between England and Scotland would be a disaster for Scotland . I suppose Scotland could import millions of migrants to increase their economic power

Lol…they want to join another union of totally more different culture, territory, ethnicity, language, legal system and most importantly less finance associate than the union of UK where they have been for 300 years longer with more financial and security dependency…this referendum is going to worse than brexit for Scotland…
