Employee of large British bank here, I can confirm there are rarely legitimate reasons for these blocks. It's often just copying decisions made by the US

    NatWest's license must be suspended

In short – NO ONE in NatWest has the FIRST idea of what they're about!

OR of what they SHOULD be about!

I won't touch Barclays, so crooked in my personal experience. Banked with them for years but now warn others to be very careful of their practices. Some banks should be held responsible for their crooked behaviour past & present. It's not just mortgages that were miss sold or things like PPI, many other things the banks do should be held accountable.

Its the same with the legal Ombudsman, On a serious complaint £150 was offered after many letters were sent giving great detail of the complaint. Later on taking on the Solicitors we had the Solicitors bill reduced by £6000

My first impressions of Bankers and Wayne Kerrs is the first letter. I've allways thought this. Never changes and this type of communistic attitude only reinforces my opinion. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Should be sueing for thousands.

has the former policeman considered a subject access request? I think there would be value in investigating cases like this. Would be interesting to find out what is driving such decisions.

I suspect this guy may have been a credit risk. People do not get accounts shut down without reason. The banks must be treated as at liberty to do business with reliable customers. There are too many crooks in the public domain, money laundering is also a factor. Of course the banks must decline dodgy account holders they do not wish to be complicit in criminal activities! Why is this bad press being thrust at us every day? I'm sure most of us are grateful to use our banks, for who knows, in this financial turmoil, if they will keep going? Is this some awful plot by Mr Farage to bring this country to its knees? Just who is he working for really? Not so long ago he was Donald Trumps bestie all a tad sus! Some people do worship money, a known human failing!

    This wont matter soon Enough

  16. @BigDuke6ixx

He needs to file a subject access request with NetWest.

This the truly shocking aspect. Many thousands have suffered the same outrage, but all media outlets and all political parties have ignored their plight.

  18. @IANREA

    December 25, 2023 at 12:25 am

No one is asking “what information are they researching and storing? If there was anything untoward has it been referred to police.

Take away their License, corrupt scum.

I wish I had an account with NatWest so I could close it. No bank should be able to close an account for any reason apart from if the client does something with their account that is illegal.

  21. @Stanleyknif3

    December 25, 2023 at 12:25 am

I did notice on NatWest account there`s a carbon footprint base on what you spend in the app I closed the account.

So many folk upset these days, is this all part of the pending election? Are they trying to scare us, if we vote the wrong wY?

  23. @suzannepadden7201

    December 25, 2023 at 12:25 am

    Thats a horrific story.

natWest is the king and government’s bank. Looks like Charles is trying for a hat-trick in terms of wanting to be the third Charles to lose his job

  25. @kubhlaikhan2015

    December 25, 2023 at 12:25 am

So the proposed changes to the law will still allow the banks to weaponise banking for their own political ends, close down the accounts of innocent people, and offer the same old LIES in the guise of an explanation – nonsense about money laundering, the banks reputation or commercial interests, just like the ones we've heard in the Farage case until the truth was weaseled out. The new legislation is a government cover-up of a deliberate conspiracy to weaponise banking to undermine our democratic system of government and our free way of life. It is treasonous. We urgently need a PUBLIC INQUIRY.

  26. @pmarmify

    December 25, 2023 at 12:25 am

Government should BAN banks de-banking people unless it can be proved customer has broken the law

They really do need a royal commission

Watch as Will Kensington expresses concern about the state of the UK, arguing that Downing Street is no longer a place of power but has instead become Britain’s most expensive Airbnb.

This comes as Andy Burnham is set to become the UK’s seventh Prime Minister in a decade, with seemingly no one challenging the “King of the North” for the country’s top job.
