A campaign group has accused the BBC of sending ‘bullying’ letters to pensioners, threatening to call on Christmas Day if they have no TV licence.
The notice threatens a £1,000 fine and legal costs.
Speaking to GB News, Director of Silver Voices, Dennis Reed, said the letters were ‘clearly a tactic to terrorise people.’
A spokesman for TV Licensing said: “We apologise to anyone who received a letter.
“There will be no visits on Christmas Day.”

Nigel Farage tells GB News his phone is buzzing after telling the political world the door will be closing on defections by May 7th.
It comes after Robert Jenrick joined Reform UK following a sensational sacking by Kemi Badenoch, who’d been tipped off to his defection.
