Looking at the current bunch of fools running our country, I would be in favour of scraping the government and letting King Charles govern.

Mate England had a bloody civil war to abolish the Monarchy. 12 years later they came back. So probaly be the same as half of british culture is related to the Monarchy.

Why would we do that, that would mean we have even more lying politicians . Rather than just an over-privileged bunch of brainless snobs .

I'm a Christian, conservative right winger here in the UK, and it's funny how people automatically assume that I support these arrogant, pompous people, these "royals" who think they're above the "commoner", above the law, higher than everyone else, higher than Snoop Dogg, whose lives are apparently more valuable than the ordinary citizen.

It''s disgusting. The monarchy should be abolished. It's irrelevant and useless.

    Change my mind

Well, this has become relevant again after the recent coronation.

No nurse no Drs no citizens advice to speak of no decent pay rates no healthcare no ambulance service , public told to make their own way ? Really??? NHS ? Seek solicitors to take action if NHS fails any part of the care you pay for this is outrageous neglect of the people.

  12. @fannydaybreak361

    December 24, 2023 at 4:33 am

End this handouts of millions of public money given to so called “royals” just a ordinary family getting huge amounts of money , 100 million of our money for a coronation that benefits NOBODY!

  14. @petergraham9381

All things considered, the idea of Charles being chosen as a leader of the country is, quite frankly, laughable.

    December 24, 2023 at 4:33 am

If the UK became a Republic, I don't think that it would mean than anyone could become President, as some anti-monarchists claim. It would most likely mean that you would get a former Prime Minister or minister as President.

    December 24, 2023 at 4:33 am

Short answer, yes. And I’m working on it.

She was then not that great Queen Elizabeth II they were trying to project veto laws for poor and must needed that's not noble

Windsor City would be great for The Royals much like Vatican City is for The Pope. I do not advise NI to be integrated into the Republic of Ireland because I've heard that the Unification of Germany has been as successful as rumored.

  20. @MorningNapalm

I think the age of monarchs should come to a graceful end. Buckingham Palace and Balmoral Castle should return to the state, and they can retain some smaller mansions here and there. Their existing wealth should be their means. But if against my wishes, they stay, then Kate Middleton should finally get a name change to Kate Upperton.

So nobody thought about what will become of the government when their ancient leader died?

  24. @yellowlemonmothfreak

    December 24, 2023 at 4:33 am

The Queen of England was a symbol of indifference ignorance and white supremacy. It even makes white people indifferent towards their countries because they'll never matter like the people they see everyday on the news. America and Britain need to leave behind These symbols of absolute power. They don't even have absolute power, they just have absolute insecurity and a dependent population

  25. @Empoweredwoman1234

    December 24, 2023 at 4:33 am

I don’t think the British people or their empire have the balls to ditch their medieval monarchy. They don’t care about popularity with younger people as long as the Boomers love them. I had some respect for the Queen but not much for the rest. The Palace courtiers are even worse.

  26. @GeneralBongmeister

    December 24, 2023 at 4:33 am

I believe the queen should not have any power in parliament, military and nor have immunity. The crown should be trialled for its crimes. If it was some random person in the UK it would be seen as "unjust"

  27. @GeneralBongmeister

    December 24, 2023 at 4:33 am

Should of ended with the queen tbh

  28. @KnotMasterAz

Since Andy Burnham became Prime Minister, Labour have risen significantly in the polls to overtake Reform, who’s fortunes have fallen alongside the Lib Dems and the Greens. So what’s behind this “Burnham Bounce”? And can he succeed where Starmer failed?
