Suella Braverman has revealed she wanted to resign during her time in the Conservative Government over a fast-track system that allowed the Belfast attack suspect into the country because of his nationality.

Hadi Alodid, 30, was granted asylum under an accelerated application process because he was Sudanese.

Speaking to Emily Carver on GB News, the former Home Secretary said: “I seriously considered resigning in the spring of 2023 because I wasn’t happy with this fast-track system. I wasn’t happy with Rishi Sunak’s direction of travel. He lied not just to me but to the British people about leaving the ECHR.”

Reporting from East Ham in London, Alex visits a local kebab shop that has been issued seven skilled worker visas, meaning the employer must legally pay them a minimum of £40,000 a year.
