We have to put British people FIRST

British taxpayers could be slapped with a £5.2bllion-a-year tax bill as a result of Labour’s migration U-turn, the Tories have warned.

According to analysis from Kemi Badneoch’s party, almost 500,000 migrants granted permanent residency in Britain by 2030 could go on to claim Universal Credit.

Speaking on GB News Breakfast, Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary Helen Whately said: “We really shouldn’t have people coming here from overseas and then not being net contributors to our economy, and instead claiming welfare.

“Our policy is that if you’re a foreign national in the UK, you shouldn’t get welfare. You should be contributing. And we have said that we’re going to stop access to benefits for people who are not British citizens, stop access to social housing as well, because we have to put British people first.”

‘It’s symbolic of the intent we see from hostile states.’

Counter terrorism and security specialist Matt Dryden discusses a wave of recent bomb threats made against planes in Europe, saying the disruption is ‘straight out of the Kremlin playbook’, and linking the hoaxes to other recent efforts to undermine Britain’s security, including hacks on supermarket fridges and British blood banks.
