Madonna postpones tour after stay in intensive care – BBC News
Madonna has postponed her world tour after a stay in intensive care with a serious bacterial infection, but a full recovery is expected, according to her manager.
Madonna announced the 35-date worldwide tour at the beginning of year.
The 64-year-old pop icon aimed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her breakout single, Holiday, by embarking on her first ever greatest hits tour.

Flights across the UK have been disrupted by a “technical issue” with air traffic control.
Nats, which runs air traffic control, said it had “nothing to do” with a software defect that led to the cancellation of 2,000 flights earlier this month.
The issue at Nats’ Prestwick centre in Ayrshire is “now fixed”, with the system running “at full capacity”.
Around 200 flights were cancelled or did not fly today, analytics firm Cirium said.

A powerful typhoon passing Japan’s east coast is bringing heavy rainfall and major disruption. More than 1.9 million people in and around Tokyo have been told to evacuate.
