The Milano Design Week is not an exhibition event; it originated spontaneously in the early 1980s by companies operating in the furniture and industrial design sector. Even today, individual promoters organise themselves to create a large collective event that is concentrated during the month of April, in conjunction with the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan.
