The beets are supposed to be cold from the fridge. Not cooked.

Other than that it looks good!

Wow im half swedish and half finish and i have never heard of this before

  3. @simsdad

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

You can eat anything for breakfast,, it is just how you are used to do. In Japan they eat rice and fish for example….

  4. @sihiri_kabari

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

As a swede, i can confirm that we smoke hash every morning!

Oh my god, it took me time to realise it is Pyttipannu, one of my favourite dishes and no its quite rare to eat that as breakfast imho, but never tried one with fried egg on top 😀

  6. @diogenesborealis7852

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

That's wrong. First you chop the onions and bury them 3 meters down, so that they don't contaminate the water. Chopping them is to ensure
that the toxins are absorbed by the mud and sand. No local wildlife is put in danger.

Usually students eat this bc its cheap and good

  8. @ElMakz

Not for breakfast and not with egg…

He made this so fancy lol. I’m Swedish and many will eat this with pickled beats, and ketchup. I don’t like ketchup on this but many people do.

Also, nobody eats this for breakfast. This is usally eaten as lunch or dinner when you are lazy and don’t wanna cook. In Sweden it is called “Pyttipanna”

  14. @pip8175

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

no one eats that for breakfast and the egg yolk is never left uncooked

  15. @mariawerner8447

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

Sorry, Gordon – you got this one wrong…

  16. @Ejje

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

Is this a pyttipanna? Wierd one if so.

  17. @user-hr4rd5jy5j

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

okay so you tried to make pyttipannu? nobody here eats it like that tho. it's usually just sausages, potatoes and maybe onion

  18. @bigman2846

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

Havent never eaten this as finnish

  19. @naukumaija7056

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

"not winter, summer." Well duh, you're a bit over an hour away from the Arctic circle, you'd be covered in snow if it was winter!

  20. @QuickZ_

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

I can tell you are close to Sweden by the beautiful weather you had. Glad you survived and hope you enjoyed the visit <3

I swear a British guy who plays the sport just called it soccer😄😄

  23. @jenniferb557

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

This is not a breakfast food, it's what they serve for lunch in schools. Breakfast is something like fil (sour cream) and musli and hard boiled eggs on knäckebrÜd or something.

Fanciest finnish breakfast you can do is Porridge with cloudberries or other toppings… You made lunch 😁

  27. @Jrgosman

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

This guy makes lunch and doesn't even cook the meat and onions that good

He's supposed to be a world class chef but leaves the meat and onions raw

  28. @_vanilful

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

    this feels like a speedrun

  29. @ManuzkiPelailee

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

That is not even a breakfast. It is a lunch or a dinner…

  30. @Datamike

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

As usual, Gordon over-engineers his food; this is not what a normal pyttypannu looks like.

  31. @Dimetropteryx

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

I'm Finnish and I don't know what the fuck he's trying to cook here.

  32. @minder01

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

No Scandinavian right in their head will eat this, let alone consider it as a breakfast. It's a lunch-dinner dish only.

  33. @esaheimonen3753

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

kuka syÜ pyttipannua aamupalaks ja ei sitä muutenkaa noin tehä

  38. @runaseatonkampe1307

  40. @human-pp3op

    The little “Weeeeee” was adorable

  44. @hongodongo9053

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

Pytt i panna is a lunch meal, nothing else, and literally scraps. Its like a paella. Served with fried eggs and pickled RED beets.

  45. @Purtonen

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

Not just Finnish/Swedish, all the Nordic countries do pyttipannu/pytt i panna/pytt i panne. And it really isn't a breakfast. Potatoes and sausage for breakfast is a UK/US thing.

    Ya fuckin' donut.

  46. @rafaelhenck8169

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

    "Soccer"? Is that a joke?

I don't know what is that but looks a tasty meal. Nice recipe. Why Gordon is allways in good mood when coming in nordic country. That reindeer meat episode was kinda funny. He ask from kids how the santa can coming if you eat his reindeers… with a snowmobile😆

  49. @Bodomi

    January 14, 2024 at 4:29 am

Pyttipanne is also a traditional dish in Norway.
