Johnson, for all his waffle, had as little intention as May of fully implementing Brexit. Like May, a traitor to the 17million who voted for Brexit.

You know, if it was run again, we would vote to stay in. I've only myself to blame because I didn't vote. I had no inkling that we would vote to come out so I didn't think my vote would count. When we get a vote to get back in I won't make the same mistake again

  23. @ianmcconnell5973

    January 13, 2024 at 2:00 am

No, they didn't drop the ball. The Brexit result was never going to be honoured anyway, so they did a bit of window dressing and theatre to give the impression they were taking us out, for appearance sake! Why would any sane person think they'd honour the result when they lie to us all and screw us over at every opportunity!

  24. @felixfedre518

    January 13, 2024 at 2:00 am

The EU are currently working on a plan which, if it succeeds, will not only ban you from renting out your property, but also ban you from living in your own home if it doesn't match the latest environmental (global warming) regulations. We can't let them drag us back into that nightmare known as the EU. They say "You will own nothing and be happy."

  25. @fulloftruthguardian5420

    January 13, 2024 at 2:00 am

They keep on pretending Brexit happened under the Boris Johnson government when in fact it started under the first Theresa May government back in 2017 when as part of the Conservative negotiating strategy government started dropping payments to the EU which led to some very unpleasant debates in the EU parliament and in the then headed by Juncker EU commission.

farage is stil playing the gane of left / right conservative / labour or other the whole lot has to go , we need 400 mps who want the best for the uk plc, not there own aganda/ ban house of lords which is a den if thieves. 50% of Whitehall have to go to the manderins have to go and have a panel of the best in buiness running the country for the best of the country Local representative running local areas if the mess up every 3 years to prove re electing/ police to be non profit and work for the people no agressive tax collectors sick uk thats why i left in 2007

  36. @susannamarker2582

In Feb 2023, there are still 4,500 pieces of EU legislation in UK law. Mahyar Tousi interviewed a barrister who said this. Whitehall could, but will not get rid of these laws. That's why we are not taking advantage of Brexit today. As long as these remain within UK law, Brexit will effectively not happen.

Nigel Farage's 'enormous opportunities' of Brexit actually means a GDP that has shrunk by a whopping £100 billion in the last three years. Our economy may well be shrinking further. Mr Farage's German wife and children all have EU passports. As the husband of an EU citizen Nigel Farage & his family will keep ALL the work, residence, travel and study rights of EU citizenship that most people in the UK have since lost. A truly visionary leader, eh?
