the majority of people find the taste and smell of truffles repulsive, about 60%. They suspect that it's a genetic trait to like or dislike them similar to cilantro which some people find tastes like soap. Personally i have no problem with truffles, i just don't know why they go through all that trouble to find them when you could simply cut the nutsack off a decaying corpse.

ive seen some fresh truffle in my days but these ones are truly impressive in sizes. up to £5000 a kilo. there is money on that table. they taste delicious

I had truffles at a 3 star Michelin restaurant and my reaction was – so what? It must be an acquired taste. For a bumkin (hamburger/fries) like me — it was so what. Caviar at this restaurant to me tasted like salted fish eggs. The meal for my Mom and I cost hundreds of dollars. I just don't get it.
