Well I'll be,  the gun hating commies got themselves some wind mills. I wonder if they'll want to ban electricity because it might hurt someone?

The Dutch are racist. All the windmills are white. Why no black windmills?

The Netherlands, like most other Euro countries, spends less than 1% on their military defense, while the US has funded 75% of NATO for decades. The Dutch cowards surrendered to the Nazis in 4 days and brave British, Canadian, Australian, and American soldiers liberated them. We spent money liberating them back then, and now we're paying for their defense, because they want to spend their money on social programs and free sex changes. Well maybe the savings they get on these wind farms will help them pay their payments on the back pay, that Trump told them to pay the US. If we don't start getting some money rolling in from these deadbeat countries like the Netherlands that have turned into socialist shtholes, the US is leaving NATO. If you don't value a strong defense and don't think you need a military, well we don't want to be in a cooperative with you. The US has the world's largest military and doesn't need to be in a military cooperative with anyone. The money we've been spending on NATO and the operating expenses of keeping bases in Europe to protect them from Russia, could be used in the US. It's time for the US to pull out of NATO like we elected Trump to do. These deadbeat countries aren't going to pay us back pay, and Trump knew this when he gave them an ultimatum. When they refuse to start paying payments, Trump will now have a reason to give to congress as to why the US is leaving NATO and pulling bases from Europe. If Western Europe is afraid of Russia, you better stop hating guns and get your population armed so you can fight off an invasion if it happens. When we pull out of NATO, you're on your own.

Guess what! If we stop using fossil fuels today, world wide as a source of automotive fuel….. we will still need oil, lots and lots of oil.

The Netherlands is full of libtard leftists blowing hot air, so there's plenty of wind to run these things.

Wind power is good, and we have wind farms going up in the US in areas that get a lot of wind. You can also buy E85 fuel at filling stations, which is 85% ethanol. The future is in ethanol, and the world should copy Brazil, where they run all or most of their cars on ethanol, which is made from crops you can grow. The good thing about burning 100% ethanol in your car? If you run out of liquor and want to get wasted, just get a siphon hose out.

Will never happen in UK, all private companies with good links with the Torries, own everything. The dutch are very serious with reducing pollution and looking after our world. If you go there you will see, even trying all there best to reduce cars by making simple for cyclists, special roads, one car insurance for everyone is enough. Insurance is on the car not on the individual. That means it might be that whole have just one care as they can share easily.

Why can't UK have power like this? Caroline Lucas should be strapped to old-fashioned mill for stopping wind power. "If even the Green Party say wind turbines are wrong who are we to give permission for it?"

How prosthetics tech is training robots | BBC News

Published

on

Tech Now’s Paul Carter finds out how technology powering advanced prosthetics is also helping train humanoid robots.

The Ability Hand is a special piece of prosthetics technology, with two ambitions running through the same piece of hardware.

One is to give somebody their grip back. The other is to take what that person’s hand already knows – and teach it to a machine.

Signal boss Meredith Whittaker says AI ‘can always be controlled’ | BBC News

Published

on

AI can always be controlled, the president of encrypted messaging app Signal has told the BBC.

Meredith Whittaker said fears that AI could become conscious and take over were “not anchored in science and evidence”, warning instead about the dangers of using the technology in military decision-making.

The former Google employee said AI could “supercharge mistakes” and reflected on her role in opposing the company’s involvement in a US military drone surveillance project.

Speaking to the BBC Global Women, Whittaker also questioned who gets to shape the future of AI, criticised the concentration of power in Silicon Valley and explained why Signal would leave a country rather than compromise its users’ privacy.

Chinese AI tool told researchers how to make bioweapons | BBC News

Published

on

Developer Moonshot is conducting an internal review after researchers were able to persuade two of its popular Kimi models to tell them how to make biological weapons and carry out assassinations.

Mindgard, which tests the security of AI systems, told the BBC it discovered in July that Kimi K2.6 and K3 Swarm could evade safety limits put in place by developers.

It arose during a process called “jailbreaking”, where researchers use a series of complex instructions to see if AI tools ignore guardrails – which Mindgard said should have stopped Kimi from discussing concerning topics.

Moonshot told the BBC it welcomed third-party input “as a key pillar for building better and safer AI”.
